We are two friends coming from France who wanted to visit the USA for two months after finishing our studies. We decided to have our last american experience at Terra Casa Retreat Center before leaving the country. We wanted to discover this place very connected to nature and to help Amber and John with their projects! We were excited about having a week eating good food and meeting people who care about wellness and spirituality. We have tasted recipes we didn't know about and it felt really good to follow this diet for a few days! We also went to Amber's yoga classes which were the best yoga we've never had, very progressive and meditative sessions!
This week at Terra Casa Retreat Center was a good opportunity to experience working outdoors with wood, a first time for both of us. The first day we helped to make wooden sticks for hiking. It was a community project so we were five people on it. It felt great to first try a manual work for us, as we are more used to working on computers. And secondly connect with a natural material. It brings you to another type of meditation and as you are working outside with wood you feel very relaxed. Community projects are also about meeting new people and it was a pleasure to work with Amber, Bill and Eric on those wooden sticks!!
